Note: There is a known bug in Opera 3.2 that prevents the menu being updated when you click
on an expand/collapse icon. To work around this, the menu has been drawn fully expanded.

Note: There is a known bug in Internet Explorer 4 that MAY cause the error
"No such interface supported" when try to open the Floating Menu. If you get this
error and the menu does not open in a new window, click OK in the
error window and then click the "Back" button to return to the
Frames Mode.\n\nYou can fix this problem by downloading and installing
Service Pack 1
from the Microsoft Web Site, or upgrade to Internet Explorer 4.01.
Known Problems
- When you click on a link with a JavaScript URL (all expand/collapse icons and, if showAllAsLinks is set
to true, entries without a link), Netscape 4 (on Windows, possibly also on Mac but not on UNIX)
changes the mouse pointer into an hourglass and does not change it back to an arrow until the user
moves the mouse. This seems to be a bug in Netscape 4 that we can do nothing about.
- I have had a number of reports of MSIE 4 taking a very long time to draw the menu (as long as a
few minutes).
- MSIE 4.0 on Windows has an intermittant bug which causes an "Interface not supported"
error when attempting to open a window. Joust will trap this error, think that it is a security
error and display the security message. Downloading
Service Pack 1 from Microsoft (or
upgrading to 4.0.1) will fix the problem.
- Joust does not work properly with the Macintosh version of MSIE. It seems to work on some Macs and
not on others. I am working on a solution to this but, as I don't have access to a Macintosh with MSIE
installed, it is not easy. If you have access to a Mac and encounter problems, please let me know the
error message that you get as well as the type of Mac you have, OS version and MSIE version. If anyone
living near Royston (in Herts, United Kingdom) has a Macintosh I can use to try and solve this problem,
please let me know.
- Opera has a limit of 32K on the amount of generated content in a page. A fully expanded large menu
can easily exceed this, resulting in the menu being truncated.
